Technology

Henry Ford is supposed to have said that you could have any car, as long as it’s black. Things don’t work that way in IT. Companies prefer to have the mix of platforms and applications that works for them.

Managed Networks is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, and all our engineers are Microsoft Certified IT Professionals (MCITP). However, although we use Microsoft development tools and platforms, we also have significant experience of other systems, database migrations and interfacing to other platforms. You can count on us to take you in the right direction, however multi-heterogeneous your IT is.

Hardware and software supply

Managed Networks is an authorised reseller for a broad range of IT vendors including Dell, HP and Cisco; we can advise you on everything from laptops to security appliances, and supply anything from a single PC to a fully-resilient virtualisation cluster.

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner with a number of qualified licensing specialists (MLSS) on our staff, we can find the right licensing solution for you – whether it’s Open Licence Programme purchase or Open Value Subscription rental. We’re equally at home with Citrix and VMWare, too.

See our case studies for more details, or click through to our credentials page to see the vendors we represent.

Server virtualisation from Managed Networks

Server virtualisation with Managed Networks at heart means dividing up one server so that it runs as though it were several. There are two immediate benefits. You’re improving your total cost of ownership (TCO) by using your server more efficiently (typically improving from 15% to as much as 80%) and it it’s less likely to fail. There are other advantages too. By simplifying your IT infrastructure and reducing the number of servers you have to run, you cut down on hardware costs and maintenance overheads. At the same time, virtualisation improves your carbon footprint and reduces the energy you use on power and cooling.

Managed Networks is not only a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, we’re also a VMWare and a Citrix partner, so no matter which virtualisation technology you choose we have the training and experience to deliver.

Bespoke software

Choosing inappropriate software because it is cheaper is a false economy. Although bespoke software can be more expensive, it will do precisely what you need it to do, however complex.

Our dedicated software development team provides bespoke software services over a broad range of platforms. Our years of experience and high expertise in different industries allow us to understand what each sector’s needs are and how to fulfil them. We discuss your exact requirements with you and then look to design your system for your budget.
