Your files and email are stored on a SAN (Storage Area Network) that has both redundant hardware and a resilient disk array. File and email services are delivered by a server cluster, so if one server fails, another takes over without interruption.

DesktopLive is protected by active scanning of all inbound email for viruses and spam, and by server-resident anti-virus packages; outbound mail is also scanned for viruses to protect your reputation. All internet browsing by users of the service passes through a central monitoring point, where websites are checked for "malware" and viruses before the user gains access. All internet use is also logged to help you manage your obligations as an employer. Resilient, top-line firewalls defend the service against hackers.

The servers providing the service are housed in a secure, air-conditioned facility in London with full power protection. The service's internet connection is fully-resilient and carefully managed to make sure that available bandwidth exceeds demand. The whole solution is monitored 24 hours a day and benefits from all of Managed Network's class-leading proactive support expertise.

Data held on the service is continually replicated to our standby facility in Runcorn, Cheshire, so that it can be made available in the event of a catastrophic event in London. We also take nightly full backups to removable media, which are then stored in a secure off-site location.
