1. Background
Royal Statistical Society is UK’s professional body devoted to the interests of statistics and statisticians. RSS is one of the most influential and prestigious statistical societies in the world.

2. Problem
Royal Statistical Society approached Managed Networks in 2003 to outsource IT services as their IT Manager was leaving the company. Royal Statistical Society wanted to build efficient and stable software and hardware infrastructure. Initially contracted for 6 months, after 8 years Managed Networks still remains IT support provider for RSS.

3. Solution
Managed Networks developed stable, Microsoft-based email solution for RSS and upgraded the software to a newer version. We have also built an external database and improved the hardware performance.

4. Benefit
Royal Statistical Society enjoys increased stability of their network. Upgrading their software to a newer version has improved users' experience. Deploying new infrastructure has significantly decreased a number of quotes and problems addressed by RSS.
