When your team is growing fast, you need experts to handle IT support so you don't have to. That's why Benjamin West, a global purchasing agent for the hotel business, uses Managed Networks for its IT support in the UK.
Benjamin West's London office has doubled in size from January to August 2014. That has created IT demands: new users have had to be added to the network and new IT equipment has had to be bought, not to mention the job of keeping servers up so that Benjamin West can provide a reliable service to its clients.
"There's so many things you need to do from an IT perspective that I don't want to think about," says Benjamin West's busy UK operations manager, Kerri Lewis. "We need to have our systems up and running in order to be able to work."
What sets Managed Networks ahead of the competition, Kerri explains, is its proactive system of Rotation Days. Under this system, an engineer from Managed Networks spends the day at Benjamin West every other month to tackle IT.
"It's like having our own IT department," says Kerri. "He's the one who knows how to do things, so I don't have to think about them. I know he has got it covered."
It also helps that Managed Networks is so well located, very near London's Silicon Roundabout and just a few minutes' walk from Benjamin West's office, which makes it easier to react quickly to helpdesk queries.
But the important benefit is that Kerri knows she can outsource IT and get on with the rest of her job.
"They do things that I don't have to think about or wouldn't know about. That's the way I like it."
