The Managed Networks GDPR 'Sharing the Pain' event was a huge success. We had a new format and a new panel which was made up of professionals from leading cultural institutions sharing how they were dealing with GDPR and its complexities.
Ben Rapp, chaired the seminar and asked the industry insiders a series of questions on Articles 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 25 and 32.
The panel shared their individual 'highs and lows' about their GDPR experiences and took questions from the audience, making it a truly interactive seminar.
This was our line up…
"I enjoyed the seminar very much.
It has been a very difficult time leading up to the GDPR. We began discussions in July last year and have been meeting weekly to discuss how to prepare. We read up as much as possible and made enquiries where we could. We finally decided on a new set of questions to ask patrons at the box office, along with changes in most departments around the building, and how we store personal information. It has been a daunting task. It was good to hear that we are not alone, and also helped us to feel that what we were doing was in line with other entertainment venues."
