Nick is the Chairman of Managed Networks.

Nick Caplan joined Managed Networks as Chairman in 2009. Prior to this he was a Group Executive Board Director of Logica. As Group Chief Marketing officer and a member of the Executive Board Nick was responsible for driving the growth of the business and held profit and loss responsibility for the Strategic Global Accounts. Key activities included determining the group’s strategy, M&A and business development activity, defining the portfolio of offerings and managing sales and marketing. Nick led major sales opportunities and was the executive sponsor of a number of key accounts including Deutsche Bank, Michelin, Shell and Vodafone. Whilst at Logica he created and managed the Group Corporate Social Responsibility programme and also developed the brand identity and renamed the company Logica.

Nick Caplan is an experienced Financial Services and Technology professional with extensive consultancy and operational line management experience. He has in depth experience of retail financial services and has managed businesses operating from diverse sites around the UK and globe. This has included a role as operations director of an organisation providing insurance and risk advisory services to businesses around the world employing over 4,500 people and a turnover of £250 million.

Nick ran a successful corporate turnaround venture. In this capacity, his assignments included Managing Director of a group providing software and infrastructure services to consumer financial services companies. The services include supporting the processing of retail financial products and compliance to regulatory requirements. Another assignment was as Managing Director of a financial applications and solutions provider whose clients included 300 of the Fortune 1000 such as British Airways, Bank of Scotland and Safeway.

Prior to this, Nick was head of CSC's European financial services consultancy, systems integration and outsourcing, one of the largest professional services groups in the world. He developed and delivered propositions that were composite solutions involving consultancy, software product, systems integration and outsourcing that focused on delivering step change in capability through the use of technology and the internet. Responsible for new business development both from penetration of existing and development of new clients whilst having P&L responsibility for the full delivery cycle he achieved 100% compound growth over three years.
